Called on owners and managers of small to large businesses and provided management to an active client base of 1,200+ accounts representing well over $2.3 million in annual revenue. Primary emphasis was on increasing scope of client commitments to their “Yellow Pages” advertising programs. Consulted with clients on demographics, assessed customer business development needs, developed cost/quality-effective solutions and negotiated contracts. Assist clients with development of marketing strategies, design advertising layouts and coordinated graphics with the production offices.
A 5-month contract recruited by Thomas Register to help conclude the 2000 issue of the Thomas Register. This product is a multi-media source of buying information for anyone trying to reach the American Manufacturing Industry. Included in Sales & Marketing Consulting were: Print, Internet, CD-Rom, E-Commerce and Fax Back Info Systems. This position although short lived thrived with new product knowledge while working in a structured territory of the South Florida Region.
Similar to my previous profession with BellSouth, this job entails the very same attributes but on a National scale. Both with customers and publishers nationwide this job involves extensive travel for appointments. On a national level the revenues represent between $25,000 to $10 million per account annually. As a National Sales Manager I am an extension of the Marketing department implementing their findings and plotting a strategic plan for major corporations. Print, Internet, CD and Web advertising were among our products.
Advertising Director – From concept to completion, sales, design, invoice art, proofing printing mailing and/or distribution.
Customer Service/Sales Manager – Field calls both internal and externally, mail correspondence and return clients calls, update and monitor customer records (including mail status, payment info., credit card denials, etc.) hire and manage hourly employees, pull reports for weekly stats and manage mail room.
Distribution Manager – Liaison between printer (scheduling, mailing, etc.), coordinate shipping from printer to freight consolidator, inventory control, process shipping manifest and review products.
Almost identical to my later job with SBC, except the active client base was approximately 800-900 clients and revenues represented approximately $1.5 million annually. Light travel throughout South Florida was very common.
